Company Description

Ecopol America is seeking a Procurement Manager in Griffin, GA. The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the functional procurement activity to the production and investment needs of the company, guaranteeing the qualitative, quantitative, economic and financial optimization of purchases.

Position

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process of the goods and services necessary to achieve company objectives, taking into consideration the production, sales and investment forecasts.
  • Adequately plan the timing and quantities of goods to arrive at the plants located in Italy and the USA.
  • Responsible for building relationships with suppliers, or rather the optimization of the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership of procurement) best possible service conditions.
  • Must know the technical and production characteristics of the product to be treated; and must guarantee the efficiency and competitiveness of the company without compromising its balance sheet
  • Responsible for budget and strategy for the purchase of raw materials (MP) agreed with the CEO and a budget for the purchases necessary for the realization of investments in fixed assets of an operational nature (CAPEX) agreed with the CFO and the CEO.
  • Knowledge of international contracts, product procurement techniques, negotiation techniques, as well as Project Management techniques in the definition and control of the various phases of planning, execution and closure of the project.
  • Follow and track market trends of commodity goods and chemicals utilized in our manufacturing process.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics/Management Engineering. Master’s Degree Preferred
  • 5-7 years of corporate managerial experience in structured and multi-site companies
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience with commodity chemicals or goods, understanding price indexes and markets
  • Strong Results-Oriented Leadership experience
  • Specialization Master in Management Economics (MBA) – Preferred
  • High knowledge of purchasing and budgeting processes
  • High technical knowledge of negotiation, contract management, and creating SOPs
  • Bilingual Preferred (English and Italian)
  • Availability to travel
