Company Description

Ecopol is hiring a Production Lead in Griffin, GA. The Production Lead is responsible for the management of the department's systems, verifying their functioning and the availability of the equipment necessary for the realization of the day's work program, in addition to the presence of the staff, liaising with the workshop, maintenance, engineering departments depending on the severity of the fault. Promptly report any problems encountered during the shift to the Plant Manager and carry out the necessary interventions according to the procedures and instructions in accordance with the manager.


Position

  • Responsible for achieving the goals set by superiors.
  • Responsible for optimizing and improving the production by reducing waste and interfacing with other entities, and will work proactively to find resolving solutions to existing problems.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving quality and also helps managers in the development of key projects such as the development of new products and / or processes.
  • Ensures that the operators in the “shift change” are punctual and equipped with all the necessary information to guarantee work continuity without wasting time.
  • Checks the correct management by the individual operators of the tools and materials in use.
  • Actively collaborates with the QC department to verify the quality levels of the product made, in compliance with company standards.
  • Ensures compliance (respects and enforces) the company rules and procedures and those of the environment and safety, and reports any problems encountered in this regard to the supervisor during the course of the shift.
  • Makes sure there is a good level of order and cleanliness in the workplace on a daily basis, and he ensures proper waste management in the company (storage and differentiation)


  • In the event of a fault, Lead must quickly analyze the problems and work, in collaboration with maintenance, to restore operation of the machine / equipment in the shortest possible time but always respecting the safety of all the operators involved.
  • Short-term objective is to train operators so that they are effectively endowed with a good degree of autonomy as regards the management of plants, restorations and the resolution of problems in general.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelors' degree in Business Administration and Supply Chain preferred.
  • Two years+ supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong
  • A self-motivated individual that is able to multi-task and lead others.
