As MEI USA continues to evolve and grow the business across North America, we are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Senior Field Service Technicians.

Position

An ideal candidate will travel to install the machines, train our customers, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support to customers in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about machinery and mechanics and are ready to join our team of technicians.


Senior Field Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform machine installation, preventive maintenance, and training at the customer site.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer/equipment issues.
  • Maintain a high degree of professional customer service for all customer interactions.
  • When not travelling, provide technical remote support to customers.
  • Attend shows and exhibitions if required, as technical support for installation of machines.

Requirements

Education and Skills

  • Associate degree, certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Automotive.
  • High school diploma.
  • 4+ years of hands-on electromechanical maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of working knowledge of modern CNC machinery.
  • Travelling up to 70% of the time by flight or by car (for international travel passport is required).
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams, knowledge of PLC’s and C++ concepts.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic components and power tools in CNC industry.
  • Ability to learn and understand mechatronics systems.
  • ASE certification and experience with ISO 9001. Preferred but not required.
  • Competence in MS Office suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to collaborate effectively with people.
  • Self-driven with ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working under various distractions and constraints.
  • Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking, and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding, and crouching.
  • Requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds, recurrent lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds and occasional pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices.
  • Must be able to perform detailed work and operate mobile equipment.
  • Must possess good visual and color acuity.
