Ecopol America is opening a new facility in Griffin, GA. We are in the process of hiring a Process Engineer in Griffin, GA.


Ecopol was founded in 2009 in the heart of Tuscany (Italy) with the idea of helping people safeguard the unique landscape that surrounds us and, ultimately, our wonderful planet. Our products are used in many different applications; From the packaging of household cleaners to that of agricultural chemicals, through the treatment of swimming pools and SPAs to many other applications, our idea has always been the same: to provide the consumer with a product that is easy to use, safe and ecological.



The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimization of production processes, as well as the certification and validation of new products on the production line (Industrialization), preparing test, testing and analysis plans.


Collect and analyze production data to find any room for improvement and waste reduction.

Control and monitor the process through measurements, statistical analyzes, predictive controls and draw up process procedures.

Collaborate with Processes Engineers present in the plant and with the R&D and QC departments for the optimization of processes and standardization of them.


Position

The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimization of production processes, as well as the certification and validation of new products on the production line (Industrialization), preparing test, testing and analysis plans.


Duties consists of:

  • Collect and analyze production data to find any room for improvement and waste reduction.
  • Control and monitor the process through measurements, statistical analyzes, predictive controls and draw up process procedures.
  • Collaborate with Processes Engineers present in the plant and with the R&D and QC departments for the optimization of processes and standardization of them.
  • Constantly monitor the operation of the equipment and measure the performance of the plants, collecting data on production processes, to identify any anomalies, or implement improvement and waste reduction actions.
  • Analyzes and supervises the product industrialization process in collaboration with R & D/QC/ Process Engineer/Head of Department, defining objectives, phases and methods of implementation, times and methods to optimize production efficiency and costs.
  • If problems and malfunctions occur, the process engineer intervenes to solve them promptly, in collaboration with specialized technicians.
  • Report non-compliance situations, both technical and of quality, that are created on the plant and proposes intervention solutions. Contributes to the resolution of problems in the production process and develops corrective actions in relation to product non-conformities.
  • Provide documentation for existing and newly engineered manufacturing processes will need to be drafted and revised on a regular basis to ensure that all new hires and other staff understand the best practices and standards of each individual process.
  • Collect data in order to analyze and study critical issues, planning the interventions to be carried out and monitoring process performance.
  • Identifies and manages the critical variables, identifying the causes of any deviations and implementing the appropriate corrections.
  • Participates in the design of new plants and machinery, prepares work instructions and coordinates all the activities required for the new processes to become operational, providing advice to the company departments involved and supporting the training of employees.
  • Manage the experimentation and implementation phase of the new procedures and the conversion or modification of the plants.
  • Supports the SSL function in evaluating current processes and equipment present to determine the risk of malfunction/failure/potential injury.
  • Ensures that, at the start of production, the process works correctly and also checks that the methods and procedures comply with company standards and legal regulations.
  • Support cross -functional improvement teams: attend meetings, structure information, research and analyze possible solutions.
  • Interface with all the internal functions of the Plant and be responsible for analyzing the KPIs in order to develop projects for the optimization of processes
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain management
  • Experience gained in manufacturing companies structured and organized in an advanced way with a focus on production processes based on extrusion is considered a plus;
  • Experience in manufacturing processes, including work processes, operations excellence and continuous improvement
  • Skills in Lean processes (5s, SMED, Etc)
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills: ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Bilingual (Italian) is a plus
